I know it was only a little over version 11. I'm not sure how to find the version number of Symantec, my closest estimate would be 11.105 or 11.005. My computer is running Windows XP Service Pack 3, and has 3.00 GHz CPU and 2.99 GHz, 3.50 GB's of RAM. (The article I found was: ) When I got to step 2, I stopped when I couldn't stop the symantec endpoint protection service. (Which I'm just starting to realize was a mistake.) After this I went online and looked up how to uninstall manually. When I tried, no CPU was used in the process, so I decided to force quit it.
(The only CPU usage was for the task manager itself.) After about an hour of this I decided that I should just cancel the uninstall. When I looked on the task manager, it showed that no CPU was being used. I tried using Add/Remove Programs, but towards the end of configuring the program it stopped. I currently can't uninstall the program 'Symantec Endpoint Protection' from my computer.
